iWalk - International Walk to School Week, October 4 - 8, 2010. International Walk to School Day/Week/Month gives children, parents, school teachers and community leaders an opportunity to be part of a global event as they celebrate the many benefits of walking

International Walk to School Day/Week/Month gives children, parents, school teachers and community leaders an opportunity to be part of a global event as they celebrate the many benefits of walking.
In 2009, students from 314 schools from accross BC joined millions of walkers from around the world walked to school together for various reasons. Whether you're doing it for the environment, safety or student health, register now to receive posters, stickers, and practical planning resources to help plan an iWalk to School Week in your school community: http://www.hastebc.org/tools/iwalk

Celebrate Parks Video Contest

Did you know that Canada's first national park was created 125 years ago? Happy Birthday Banff! To celebrate the occasion, we invite you to create a short video about one of Canada's national parks. Tell the world why you think the park you've chosen is so amazing -- and you could win a trip for two to Nahanni National Park Reserve in the Northwest Territories, a Flip camera, or other great prizes!
