I have worked as a guide, outdoor educator, environmental education curriculum developer and high school teacher in Ontario and British Columbia for the past ten years. I am now teaching a number of Adventure Tourism courses at College of the Rockies in Golden.

In 2000, I was fortunate to go on a 5.5 month canoe expedition across Canada to raise awareness of the landscape and people of Canada's Boreal forest. It was a tremendous trip that changed my perspective on nearly everything in life, especially regarding ecological footprints and the impact our society has on ecology.

I completed my B.Ed at U.B.C. in 2003 and am now working towards my Master's of Environmental Education and Communications through Royal Roads University. My thesis will focus on Traditional Knowledge and the process of developing culturally appropriate curriculum.
