Learning happens all the time. To be aware of the learning process, reflect, try hands-on, and choose my own knowledge is so empowering. Social sustainability.

While waiting for my permanent residency in Canada, I volunteer with the West Kootenay Eco Society and the vegetable landscape design company Homegrown.

As a student in political science, pedagogy, environment and development studies, I volunteered with the student network Swedish Ecodemics lobbying for more sustainable universities. With youth all over Europe, I worked with The Bet, a youth driven climate change campaign.

For 10 years I was involved with the Centre for environment and development studies at Uppsala university, Sweden. http://www.cemus.uu.se/index-eng.html It is unique in its 15 years of student driven education, the interdisciplinarity and creative learning mode. My function for 4 years was the coordinator of the student-teachers, the curricula and general educational planning. I was also working with the teacher training department giving lectures about education for sustainable development.

Hope to see you out there! May we be the change.
