I am an independent film maker (thirty years of professional video/film production experience) specializing in environmental and adventure based video/film production.

Two projects currently in the development stage...

'People Are Like Sheep' (working title) - 20 minutes
Documentary profiling the survival of a herd of Bighorn Sheep just east of Golden. The film examines the 'relationship' between the Bighorn sheep, the nearby residents and the Trans-Canada highway which is scheduled for massive reconstruction.

'David Thompson: Stargazer' working title - 90 minutes
This feature length documentary uses the prolific and poignant life of explorer David Thompson as a framework in which to examine the ongoing relationship between trade, culture and the environment in North America.

From Hudson Bay to Astoria (Oregon), changes in flora, fauna and climate since Thompson's day will be examined by a host of specialists including biologists, aboriginals, economists, environmentalists and philosophers.

An objective look at ongoing patterns in natural resource extraction and trade from the fur trade period to contemporary times and beyond is a major subtheme of the program.
