The 14th annual Wings Over the Rockies festival - Biodiversity: The Web of Life

We don't need to get into the details at this point, but confirming dates and type of involvement are important. So there are a few avenues of involvement that you might be interested in.

The Festival consists of:

• Daytime Hikes
• School Visits (Wild Voices for Kids Program)
• Daytime & Evening Presentations
• Dinner Presentation
• Gala Event with Keynote

It would be great to chat and see what areas you might be interested in and what would fit with the Festival. The theme this year is based on the United Nations marking 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity, with the Theme of the Wings Over the Rockies Festival as 'Biodiversity: The Web of Life'. Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Faisal Moola from the David Suzuki Foundation, has been confirmed.

Stats on the Festival:

• Celebrating it's 14th year
• The Festival is scheduled for May 3-9, 2010.
• Over 70 Events over a week-long Festival
• 1100 total attendance in 2009 (46% Alberta, 45% BC, 9% Other - Over 50% from outside of the Columbia Valley)
• 150 volunteers

Please have a look at the attached document that includes more details and information on the Festival, along with timeline and contact information.
