Pesticide Free Columbia Basin website launched!

The new Pesticide Free Columbia Basin website is now live! This site will replace the community specific websites hosted by the Kimberley and Columbia Valley initiatives. The website includes information on pesticides, regulations, school districts, and municipal bylaws. The site has loads of information and resources on natural lawn care, natural garden care, pesticide disposal, common questions, companion planting, native plants/invasive weeds, as well as links and resources for gardeners, and community educators/advocates.

Check it out and tell your friends, neighbors and colleagues about this site! I also encourage you to make use of the site’s discussion forum.

Did you know that Canada's first national park was created 125 years ago? Happy Birthday Banff! To celebrate the occasion, we invite you to create a short video about one of Canada's national parks. Tell the world why you think the park you've chosen is so amazing -- and you could win a trip for two to Nahanni National Park Reserve in the Northwest Territories, a Flip camera, or other great prizes!
