3-D Model of the BC Portion of the Columbia Basin

The model is particularly useful for giving a ‘bird’s eye view’ of the topography and layout of the BC Columbia Basin region. A power source can be used to illuminate neon blue lighting which highlights the rivers and lakes of the basin. The 3-D nature of the model will help younger students to appreciate the downward and funneling effects the mountains and valleys have on precipitation and snowmelt in the region.

The model is equiped with castor wheels on the bottom edge for use on smooth surfaces and has a shoulder strap system for carrying the model, which weighs about 15kgs.

Labelled Model
